Hair Routine: Straight

Welcome to day 2 of my hair routine!

Today I would like to share my routine for straight hair!

Steps 1-4 are the same from yesterday. (wash my hair, spray on detangler/heat protector, put my hair in a towel, brush out)

Step 5: Dry hair with a hair dryer without the diffuser. I know...hair dryers are not the safest for your hair! However, using the TIGI heat protector really helps. If I was to let my hair dry on it's own it would be curly, and straightening would be more difficult.

Step 6: Separate my hair into three sections like this: (gross pic, sorry :))

Step 7: Straighten by sections with my CHI

Step 8: FINISHED PRODUCT!

I usually only straighten my hair when it's not raining or hot outside, because my hair+humidity=A HOT MESS! (next time I show you my hair routine, i'll be sure to wear makeup!)

What straightener do you use?!

  2. Love it! I do this every day as I have super white girl hair..and it does nothing else! It will not hold a curl to save my life!

  3. I don't use any products when I straighten my hair. It gets so oily and products just make it worse. I have a Chi and a Sedu. I mostly use the Sedu. Unless I cut my hair really short, then I have to use the Chi for the back.

  4. I use a chi as well! And I only straighten unless necessary because just like you rain and humidity do NOT Mix! I might as well just put my finger in a light socket

  5. I wish I put more effort into my hair. But when I have to get up at 5:30 and be at work by 7:30...I just don't care.

  7. I have the Sedu Revolution and it's amazing! It usually fights well against humidity which is usually at 90% most of the time where i live :(

  8. I use a straightener I bought from my (at the time) stylist, GHD? I'm not sure of the brand and don't have the box any more.

You're lucky you can straighten your hair in only 3 sections. I need to do a lot more with mine.

  9. You are so lucky you only need to straighten in 3 parts! It takes me at least 6 rows. Boooo. I'm shaving half my head. :P Have you tried Paul Mitchell Humidity Resistant spray before you blow dry for the humidity issue? It helps a ton on mildly hot/humid days.
