Hello lovelies! For the next three days, I would love to share my hair routine with you: scrunched curls, curling rod curls, and straight!
I have VERY thick & wavy hair. I cannot just wake up and go. I have to "fix" my hair every single day. I have noticed though that I don't wash my hair except about every three days. As my hair has gotten longer, it has gotten less oily. YES!
Well, today I will share my routine for scrunched curls. IN PICTURES. (note: I'm wearing no makeup!)
Step 1: shampoo & conditioner my hair using this Joico Color Endure! I have highlights, so it's important to protect the color. Also, sulfate free shampoo is the BEST, but remember that sulfate free means not as many bubbles, so don't freak out :)
Step 2: Spray on a TON of this Healthy Sexy Hair Leave-In Conditioner/Detangler as well as TIGI Rockaholic Stellar Smoothing Cream (heat protector) & throw my hair up in a towel.
Step 3: Take my hair out of the towel & prepare for pain.
Step 4: Why pain? My hair tangles SO bad, even with detangler. Then, begin the brushing out process.
Step 5: I add this Pantene Pro-V Curl Defining mousse & a LOT of my FAVORITE Enjoy Super Hold hairspray!
Step 6: Use a hair dryer with diffuser until hair is completely dry!
Step 7: Add more hairspray! & here is the FINISHED PRODUCT!
Do you guys ever wear your hair like this? What are your favorite products for this look?

I do scrunched curls but I have never put product in my hair and then blown my hair dry. I always put mousse in, scrunched my wet hair, and then hit the road. I'm afraid to blow dry my hair and have frizzy-ness.

Woah your hair is so dark when wet! (I guess mine is too!!) Love the look. My hair is curly if I let it go, but right now its WAY too long for curls to even form.. its about down to my elbow.. The curls at this point don't start forming till like an inch or two above the end bc its so heavy
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!!! I need to try the Pantene curl mousse!! I need something new for my scrunchy curls!!
ReplyDeleteMy hair is naturally curly, but not thick like yours. My hair looks ridiculous after sleeping on the curls so I shower every morning and I actually rotate mousse brands. Usually between Aussie, herbal essence, suave, and Pantene. After I go through a can I buy a different brand and that seems to work. Also, I only blow dry my hair when I straighten it, even with a diffuser my hair gets frizzy curly. I'll have to try some of the profucts you've listed out though!
ReplyDeleteI have wavy hair and I love my Paul Mitchell Curls Twirl Around. Seriously the BEST product I have tried! My curls hold, they are fluffy, and soft. It doesn't feel like I have a ton of product in my hair.
ReplyDeleteI use Paul Mitchell Round Trip. It is the best product I have found for my hair!!
